Once service has been requested, we provide each client with a set of packing tubes at no cost to you. These tubes are used for packaging bulk goods prior to decontamination. At roughly 13.75 gallons (28" x 12" diameter) each tube typically holds 7.5-10 pounds of dry, trimmed flower depending on product density, or as much as 13 pounds of trim and shake.
We find the simplest technique is to trim your finished product and load directly into these tubes with a can liner to achieve the maximum load density without damaging your product. This makes packaging on your end much easier, it greatly reduces the chances of damaging product in transport and handling, and it simplifies inventory management reducing the chance of shipping errors.
We recommend using flexible packaging materials like turkey bags to enable maximum packing density and max savings $$$!!! Clients who pack tubes diligently regularly achieve prices below $17/lb. Packing tightly does not damage flower, in fact it prevents movement that leads to excess shake.
